Catering Concepts got involved with this project 2017 when requested by the Belfast Harbour Commission and Interstate Hotels UK to help with the design of the F&B for this 187 bedroom hotel on the banks of the river Lagan. Working alongside Jean Christophe Novelli and head chef for the hotel, Jim Mulholland, Catering Concepts have installed an island galley kitchen complete with some great equipment for the chefs to cook on. Jim and his team have the privilege of cooking with Blue Seal Evolution equipment, Rational combination ovens and a beautiful Rotisol rotisserie. The kitchen is backed up with 3 remote chilled cold and freezer rooms on Danfoss compressors & Williams Jade and Amber refrigerated cabinets for service.  Ware washing is taken care of by Winterhalter with an energy-efficient rack conveyor with heat recovery. 

 

The breakfast area in the hotel is very special with drop-in induction chafing dishes keeping the food warm during service. The bar area also has some beautiful custom fabrication, and came with a few challenges in mounting the beer fonts to our fabrication. The glass ware in the bar will be crystal clear and streak-free as they are using the Winterhalter UC-ME Excellence i-Plus reverse osmosis glasswasher. 


The AC Marriott opened its doors to the public in April of 2018 and its another great project which Catering Concepts are very proud of. We would like to credit Gilbert Ash, RPP Architects and Interstate for their help and assistance to make it a very pleasurable and very well coordinated project to work on.
