COPPI
ST ANNES SQUARE, BelFast

Year: 2013

Location: Belfast

Specifics: Extraction through a multi-story/ multi-use building

Coppi is a very popular Italian restaurant set in the popular Cathedral Quarter of Belfast. Galgorm Group worked alongside executive chef and owner Tony O’Neill to design the extensive kitchen, refrigerated storage and bar areas.

Specific challenges of this project was obtaining the extract flow rate required at the canopy with the plant area being on the top of the building approx. 20 meters away through a gym and living accommodation. A fire-rated service raiser was used for the duct run and an appropriate fan was used to obtain the required flow-rates at the filter bank along with attenuation for sound transfer. When in the restaurant you can view the horizontal run of ductwork coming from the kitchen and turning into the riser to head towards the roof.
