Specifics: Custom wood burning pit


The golf club at Galgorm Castle has had a few different tenants over the past number of years, but the team from Galgorm Resort & Spa decided to take the lease and have a go at it from a different perspective. They were very specific in their design from the offset and the restaurant would have an emphasis on steak and cooking done over an open-fire pit. We set around designing the pit and how it would operate with Executive Head Chef, Israel Robb and interior designers Cheah Rothe, as well as a custom meat-ageing display fridge. After months of planning and putting in the appropriate fire protection and extraction systems to deal with solid-fuel cooking, the restaurant and bar opened in August 2018 in time for the NI Open. 


The restaurant also features a central "U" shaped bar of stainless steel fabrication with 3 of our famous cocktail stations and a number of our own brand bottle coolers.


The Castle Kitchen and Bar is a unique take on a clubhouse with an interior fit-out and ambiance to make golfers and non-golfers alike feel at home in the surroundings.
